BUNGENDORE

Bungendore is a popular tourist village with the most amenities found in country village so close to Canberra.  These amenities include  Bendigo Bank, doctors, chemist, primary school, pre-school, child-care facilities, hardware supplies, newsagency, police station, petrol station, swimming pool, solicitors, real estate agents, many cafes/restaurants, tourist shops, the woodworks gallery, B&B's, pubs etc

 

Any property in Bungendore will be a good investment with Defence Headquarters located with 15 minute drive and Canberra only half an hour away

BORO

Located 15 minutes from Tarago village, an hour to Canberra and just over half an hour to the major services of Goulburn. Boro is a secluded rural community made up of farmlets.

BRAIDWOOD

This is a gorgeous historical village situated between Bungendore and the South Coast and is a popular tourist area.  Many people from Braidwood commute to Canberra with approx 11/2 hour drive to Canberra City and only 50 minutes (approx) to the Coast.

BURRA

Burra is a long established farming areas that opened up in the 1900s  and is now a quiet beautiful rural valley with a mixture of grazing or bush blocks and a range of acreages.

Located approximately 30 minutes drive South East from Canberra via the Monaro Highway, Burra can be accessed through Queanbeyan within 15-20 minutes.

BYWONG

 Historic Bywong is an old Gold mining town of yesteryear and is now a hub for the successful cold climate wineries. The Bywong residents experience the feel of tranquility and peace amongst natural bushland and animals yet are conveniently located approx 20 minutes drive,  north of Canberra making it a sought after area for those working in Canberra's city centre & is just as close to the airport and Defence Headquarters. 

CAPTAINS FLAT

55km from Canberra and 45km to Queanbeyan.  This quaint, mountainous old mining town offers a unique native experience with abundant wildlife and a quiet charm. Captains Flat is one of the more affordable small towns in close proximity to both Queanbeyan and Canberra..

CARWOOLA

 20km from Canberra and 10km to Queanbeyan. Unique to the Canberra region, offers picturesque rural parcels of land abundant with green rolling hills, leafy established trees and lush pastures may with beautiful views so close to town and the Defence Headquarters.  Country lifestyle with city convenience only a short distance away!

COLLECTOR

 Tiny historic township just off the Federal Highway between Goulburn and Canberra.

The village is home to the historic and famous Bushranger Hotel with memorabilia associated with Ben Hall's bushranger gang.

Collector also has a couple of cafe's and is growing steadily in its arts and crafts culture. Collector continues to attract thousands of people each year to the charming community-run family festival that is "The Collector Village Pumpkin Festival".

Collector has a great community and small public school that is well resourced, has a well equipped library and has internet access in the classroom.  Or make use of the free school buses that will take the kids to most ACT primary or high schools. 

 Easy commuting distance to Canberra on highway in approx 40 minutes and just 20 minutes to Goulburn.

GUNDAROO

 Gundaroo is a tiny historic village which has been totally by-passed by all the major roads passing through the area.

A haven of natural beauty, gift shopping, fine food and history. This historic village is untouched by modern commercial developments and features the renowned award winning 'Grazing' hotel, local pub and award winning 'Cork Street Cafe'. 

There is also a terrific public primary school, playing fields and local supermarket/post office and the village has a great sense of community.

Easy commuting distance of 30 minutes to Canberra's CBD.

GUNNING

 Only 45 - 50 minutes commuting distance to Canberra, Gunning is an old transport and wool growing centre offering heritage experiences with a peaceful, friendly rural atmosphere. It has Antique and craft stores, restaurants, historic buildings and B&Bs. A great childcare centre, local primary school, show grounds, public swimming pool and river makes this town perfect for anyone with a young family and is equally enjoyed by retirees in the area.

Located 1km from the Hume Highway also makes it popular for people regularly driving to Yass, Goulburn and Sydney.

HALL

The Village of Hall is located within the border of the Australian Capital
Territory just 14 kilometres from the City of Canberra, and even closer to
the Belconnen and Gungahlin Town Centres. Is was one of the earliest
settlements in the region and some of the buildings exhibit features of an
age now gone.

The village is known for its rural, peaceful character, having the homes
(some at prestige level) set on large blocks among mature trees. Located in
the village are a supermarket, popular pub, and a number of service
businesses, and it also serves as an interchange for school busses going to
the various schools and colleges in Canberra.

The surrounding region is located over the border in New South Wales, and is
popular as a rural residential location, being on the fringe of Canberra with
travel times to employment centres comparable to suburban living, yet
enjoying the rural lifestyle.

It is also in the Cool Climate Wine region,and scattered through the region are a variety of boutique vineyards and wineries, many providing a popular day trip destination to enjoy winetastings and cellar door sales.

LAKE BATHURST

Lake Bathurst is a tiny tree-lined village by a lake of the same name made up a mainly rural farming. A beautiful area with pretty rolling hills. It is situated on the road to Braidwood 2.5 hours from Sydney, 15 minutes from Goulburn, 25 minutes from Bungendore and 45 mins from Canberra. Services such as schools, service station and are available 5 minutes away at Tarago.

HOSKINSTOWN

 Made up of vast rural farming, Hoskinstown has a radio telescope. The tiny quiet village that isn't much more than a community hall, church and home offers the utmost in privacy whilst remaining just 25 minutes from Queanbeyan.

MT FAIRY

Mount Fairy is a short 10 minute drive from Bungendore on the Tarago Road. It is an area made of farmlets on beautiful undulating land.

MURRUMBATEMAN

Murrumbateman is a small historical village set on the main highway between Yass and Canberra where there are a number of wineries and historical buildings. Murrumbateman is the service centre to a rural district which has developed a large number of cold climate wineries and vineyards in recent years. Murrumbateman has a large service station, restaurants, motels and...... It is located 10 minutes to Yass and 40 minutes to Canberra on the Barton Highway.

PRIMROSE VALLEY

 This beautiful valley is nestled between a range of hills known as Sugar Loaf Ridge and is perfectly located for commuting and is approx 20 minutes to Queanbeyan, 30 minutes to Canberra.  The property is also located close to the Defence Headquarters and Bungendore making it ideal for Defence Personnel who prefer to live the rural lifestyle.

ROSSI

Not a lot of people know about Rossi and it's a hidden gem that often flies under people's radar but once you have checked out the area, you will notice slightly greener paddocks as most properties in this area tend to enjoy higher rain fall due to the elevation.

 

Rossi is located less than 30mins to Queanbeyan and within easy commuting distance to Bungendore and the new Defence Headquarters as well as Canberra.

 

The road to Rossi is sealed to the cute village of Hoskinstown and then as a wide grade dirt road to Rossi. 

 

SUTTON

 The village and surrounding region offers a country lifestyle that is only minutes from the National Capital and is easily accessed from the Federal Highway, approximately 8 kilometres on the Sydney side of the NSW and ACT border making it an easy 15 minute drive to the centre of Canberra.

The village has a local primary school and a school bus runs to most high schools in the ACT.  There is also a local rural supplier and a local shop, tennis court, community shed, playing fields and the local Sutton Pony Club.

The region has a long and diverse rural history. Traditionally, horses, cattle or sheep could be found on most properties. More recently, alpaca and deer farms have been established in the area and the region is home to a number of wineries and olive groves which illustrate the region's farming diversity.

 

WAMBOIN

Wamboin is a collection of small acreages set on a mix of undulating bush and pastures as well as a small number of vineyards with eateries.  It  is located within 20- 25 minute  commuting distance to the centre of Canberra and to the airport.  It is also close to popular  thriving country village of Bungendore and to the Defence Headquarters

.Wamboin is ideal for horse enthusiasts with many horse riding trails around the area.
